2021 год был сложным годом, с вызовами и возможностями, которые принесли в Галацкий университет „Dunărea de Jos”подтверждение национального престижа через членство в консорциуме „Universitaria”, реализацию важных инвестиций в материальную базу, лучшее продвижение, близость к студентам и местному сообществу через образовательные программы, социальные акции и реализованные проекты. С точки зрения исследований, прошедший год ознаменовался устойчивым ростом университета в национальных и международных рейтингах, с почетной позицией в топ-10 учреждений Румынии в University Metaranking 2021.

Уважаемые коллеги, уважаемые студенты, уважаемое сообщество,

конце трудного года, полного вызовов, я хочу поблагодарить всех вас за то, что вы смогли завершить проекты, которые вы предложили. Хотя общие условия были не совсем хорошими, вместе нам удалось сделать очень хорошие вещи, со всех точек зрения, как с исследовательской, так и с образовательной точки зрения. Это наша общая заслуга, и поэтому я благодарю всех вас.

Со 2 по 4 декабря Трансграничный факультет Галацкого университета «Dunărea de Jos» при поддержке Исследовательского центра «Limba noastra» совместно со своими партнерами из Республики Молдова и Украины организует Международную конференцию «Междисциплинарность и сотрудничество в трансграничных исследованиях».

В 1940 году известный румынский географ Simion Mehedințiобратил внимание общественности на важность последней провинции, объединенной со страной 1 декабря 1918 года: «Провинция Трансильвания - сердце Румынии. (…) Без Трансильвании Румыния была бы подобна Франции без Оверни, без региона Парижа или без Иль-де-Франс; или как Россия без Москвы и Подмосковья.

Приведем пример из исторической Европы, без Трансильвании, Румыния была бы как Италия без Лациума и Тосканы ».

Университет „Dunarea de Jos” из Галац был включен в этом году в рейтинг Times Higher Education 2021, Разделе Emerging Economies University Rankings, опубликовано ранее на этой неделе. При оценке учитывались университеты из стран с развивающейся экономикой, классифицированные в соответствии с London Stock Exchange’s FTSE Group.

The Free State of Bavaria invites applications for its one-year scholarship program for students from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe for the academic year 2021/22 via BAYHOST. Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine are eligible to apply.
 
The scholarships are meant to finance postgraduate studies (i.e. master's programs) and PhDs at Bavarian higher education institutions. Annual scholarships can be extended twice for up to 3 years; the scholarship amounts 853 EUR per month.

International Conference “Environmental Challenges in the Black Sea Basin: Impact on Human Health” - MONITOX (BSB27) Project


The International Conference "Environmental Challenges in the Black Sea Basin: Impact on Human Health" will be organized in the period September 23rd-26th 2020 in Galati, Romania, by “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati (INPOLDE research center, ReFORM-UDJG Multidisciplinary Platform) in partnership with Institute of Zoology, Republic of Moldova; International Hellenic University, Greece; Institute of Geology and Seismology, Republic of Moldova & Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development, Romania, in the frame of the project with code BSB27 "Black Sea Basin interdisciplinary cooperation network for sustainable joint monitoring of environmental toxicants migration, improved evaluation of ecological state and human health impact of harmful substances, and public exposure prevention" (acronym "MONITOX") financed through Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2014-2020.

The Rector of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati, Professor Puiu-Lucian GEORGESCU, PhD, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Executive Chairman of Liberty Steel Galati, with the purpose to collaborate to establish LIBERTY Galati Skills Academy. The document was also signed by the Romanian Prime Minister, Mr. Ludovic ORBAN.
 
The academy will encourage more young people, from top engineers to technical and operational specialists, to enter the steel industry to help develop more sustainable production methods. 

Considering the provisions by which the public authorities and institutions establish the measures required to ensure the optimal development of the activity, in compliance with the disciplinary rules established by the authorities with responsibilities in the field (Order of the Minister 4205/2020 and Emergency Ordinance no. 58/2020), for admission in the 2020 – 2021 academic year, “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati will provide an online platform for students to register for the admission process, ensuring prevention and reducing the risk of disease.
